Contact

One address, read by one person. What it is useful to write about, and what to expect back.

hello@asknorth.com. That is the whole contact page, and the rest of this is about what happens to the email.

There is no support desk and no ticket number. The address goes to the person building North, who reads everything that arrives and answers it himself. There is no sales team either, so nothing you write will start a sequence of follow-ups; you will get one reply, from a person, and then silence unless you write again.

Things it is genuinely useful to write about: something North drafted that was wrong, a claim on this site you think is untrue, a number you cannot find the source for, a clause in a generated contract that worried you, or a place where the product assumed something about your trade that does not hold. The last one is the most valuable. North was tuned against visual design work, and if you are an illustrator, a photographer, or something else again, the places it gets your discipline wrong are exactly what needs fixing.

Things it cannot do: give legal advice about your contract, tell you what to charge a particular client, or recommend whether to keep working with someone. North the software will not do those either. A lawyer, your own floor arithmetic, and your own judgement are the right tools for those three, in that order.

If you are writing to delete your account or to ask what is held about you, say so in the first line and it will be handled by hand. During the beta that is how it works.
